Am I the Only One Who Doesn’t Know This? 🤔

There I was, 1 a.m., driving home from a long day of fieldwork. The route was so familiar I could navigate it on autopilot. As I drove along the barren roads, my tummy began to speak to me. I'd been up early for chores, stopped at McDonald's for breakfast on my way to the field, and Anne had delivered my lunch between her school bus driving shifts. Mom had prepared supper, yet here I was, hungry again.

And that's when it occurred to me: what was I hungry for? It wasn't breakfast, brunch, lunch, or supper. What was this mysterious fourth meal called? I got home and quietly made my way to the kitchen to consume some leftovers before bed. Now, I know this isn't a great idea for sleep or health, but I think we've all done it. So, what is it called?

It's been nagging at me all week, and I refuse to Google it. Instead, I had an idea: I'll ask you! Because working hard or even sometimes playing hard is not a unique situation to farming for sure—we've all been there at some point in our lives.

So, am I just living under a rock out here on the farm? Am I the only one that doesn’t know what this meal is called? Maybe, but hey, I share lots of things with you, so I thought why not ask you to share your ideas with me this week. Hit reply and tell me the truth: am I the only one that doesn’t know? Or maybe there really isn’t a name for it. If that’s the case, let’s make one up! What should we call it?

I'll share some of your ideas next week with everyone.

Warm wishes and full bellies,

Your Farmer
Rod
