Hey there!
I gotta tell ya, this spring has been great weather here on our farm. You know what that means, right? It's planting time! With that complete its on to our first cut of Hay for 2023
The hay was ready 'bout a whole week earlier than usual. So we are right into Hay Making Now!
I want to introduce you to the heart and soul of our farm - our family:
First up, we got "The Senior Advisor" - my dad, or as we fondly call him, Papa. You can always count on him for some good ol' farm wisdom and a helping hand. Need someone to hop on a tractor or fix somethin'? Papa's your guy!
Next in line, we got our very own "Uber Driver/Caterer" - my mom. She's just a phone call away when ya need a lift from farm to farm. But lemme tell ya, her real magic happens out in them fields. She's the one deliverin' hot meals and coffee to keep us fueled and kickin' when the goin' gets tough. She's a true farm angel!
And let me share somethin' special 'bout the next generation. Our son, he's a full-time ag mechanic for a John Deere dealer. Ain't no problem he can't solve when things go haywire. It's like he's got grease runnin' through his veins!
And then there's our daughter, a force to be reckoned with. She's right there on the frontlines too, holdin' it down as the parts counter person at a Case dealership. When we're in need of a spare part or two, she's the go-to gal, makin' sure we get what we need to keep things runnin' smooth. And you know what? She's also a pro behind the wheel. When harvest season rolls around, she's out there drivin' that combine like nobody's business.
Now, back to my amazing wife, Anne. Whew, she's a force to be reckoned with! In the past, when I had to hustle off the farm, Anne held it all together. She can fix anything that's busted, drive anything with wheels, and operate any dang machinery you throw her way. And would ya believe it? She still finds the time to take care of the house and all of us. Right now, she's takin' on most of the animal chores while I'm out in them fields, helpin' with planting. She's a real superhero, that one!
So there you have it, - our amazing family, workin' side by side like a well-oiled machine to make it all happen on our farm.
We couldn't be prouder or more grateful for the unity and dedication that runs through our veins.
